Fettuccine Alfredo
Sometimes we think cooking can be challenging. It’s not as difficult as you may think with this home-made sauce recipe. Please do away with that jarred sauce and opt for fresh ingredients! Below is a no fail recipe I have used for over 20 years. You too can impress your family and guests with homemade Fettuccine Alfredo. (Don’t forget to buy those breadsticks and throw some garlic on those bad boys to make an even better meal!)
Fettuccine Alfredo
Serves 4
25 minutes before serving:
Cook fettuccine noodles al dente.
Return noodles to sauce pan after draining.
Reduce heat and gently toss in:
6 Tablespoons butter
1 Cup heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (don’t used the pre-shredded, it does not melt well)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
Directions: Stir butter into cooked noodles until melted. Add whipping cream, cheese salt and pepper until heated through.
You may sprinkle with grated cheese or add cooked chicken o shrimp if desired.
