Cleaning that gross hood range filter we all forget about
With Spring Cleaning right around the corner, many people will begin to do some deep cleaning and decluttering around the home. If you’re like me, you have cooked many meals over the past two months. Over time, your range hood filter collects grease and grime that can affect its performance. A quick, easy clean will get it working (and looking) like new! 💪
What You’ll Need:
Boiling water
1/4 cup baking soda
Dish soap
Large pot or sink
Instructions
Bring a large pot of water to a boil, or fill the sink with very hot water. Add a few drops of dish soap & 1/4 cup baking soda (slowly to avoid overflow).
Remove the filter from your hood (or microwave) and submerge it in the hot water. Let it soak for 10–15 minutes to break down the grease.
Remove the filter and use a soft brush or sponge to remove any remaining grease, then rinse thoroughly with warm water and let dry.
Once it’s dry, reinstall and enjoy a clean, more efficient range hood. ✨
