15 Things You Can Throw Away With No Regrets

Most people like to keep things simple around the house. Although you may have the space to store unused or unloved items, it’s still a struggle to toss out or donate something you “may need” in the future. In every family there is one person known as "The Chucker" and has no problem letting go of unused and unwanted items. You want that person to help declutter your space, albeit with a little supervision.

Here’s a list of things to consider throwing out. It's your stuff, so you officially have permission to do so. Every item you own takes up a portion of your home space as well as your head space—decluttering is a healthy habit that improves clarity in our lives.

1) Old lumpy bed pillows (or ones full of drool stains, YUCK!)
2) Old, stained or unused throw blankets
3) Mismatched, single or rarely worn socks
4) Spices that never get used
5) Gross or overdue pantry and refrigerator items (you'd be surprised how many expired condiments are in the typical fridge)
6)  Frozen leftover hamburger or hot dog buns that have frost on them and you'll never eat 😝
7) Plastic cups from restaurants or gas stations (the ones with logos on them)
8) Mismatched food storage containers
9) Half-used candles you won't ever burn again
10) Old magazines, booklets, brochures (you know you'll never read them)
11) Old or unloved nail polish
12) Unused hair accessories
13) Toys and games the kid(s) have outgrown
14) Outdated or dried up house paint (dispose of responsibly)
15) Half dead plants—no, they don’t have to be all the way dead
